Navman Wireless Wins National Business Award
Navman Wireless has been named winner of the coveted Growth Strategy of the Year Award for the Midlands and East of England in this year's National Business Awards - referred to by Prime Minister Gordon Brown as the 'Business Oscars'.
Navman Wireless is at the forefront of the current growth in vehicle tracking and mobile data development.
"It is extremely rewarding to have our hard work and achievements recognised by this venerated awards programme, and to have been judged as having the most outstanding levels of growth amidst stiff and illustrious competition," said Tony Neill, Vice President Europe, Middle East and Africa.
The award judges concluded that Navman Wireless best demonstrated an organic growth strategy, achieving outstanding levels of sales, profit and market share improvement.
Its success, they said, is due to its ethos of flexibility and adaptability. Furthermore, they said that Navman Wireless's organic growth has been down to it maintaining and expanding its successful customer sales support structure, investing in and fostering a culture of innovation, launching new products and services and communicating its specialist offering and business credibility.
"The 3i Growth Strategy of the Year Award category was incredibly competitive this year. Navman Wireless UK has demonstrated a strategy of continual innovation and successful expansion, which is why we believe them to be worthy winners of this award," added David Whileman, director, 3i, the award sponsor.
As a regional winner, Navman Wireless will now go forward to the National Business Awards grand final at the Grosvenor Hotel, London, on November 13.
The awards ceremony on the evening of Thursday July 5, hosted by BBC Radio 5 broadcaster Victoria Derbyshire, saw Tony and European Sales Manager Steve Blackburn receive the award before a gathering of leading business people and VIPs, at Chesford Grange in Kenilworth.
The National Business Awards recognises excellence in business achievement, innovation and success throughout the UK.
